Trouble Over At Mystery Method…

I heard through the grapevine that things over at the Mystery Method headquarters are being shook up.

No one can deny that Mystery Method is the leading dating/seduction workshop company, with their frontman Mystery himself being the main attraction.  (Hey, it is his method after all, ain’t it?)
But there’s a rumor circulating around that Mystery is splitting with his longtime business manager Nick Savoy, the “brains” behind the business of the Mystery Method company.  Instead, I hear Mystery is thinking of teaming up with rising star PUA Mehow, to be managed by Mehow’s manager, a guy I know only as “Rob.”

Now, from what I understand, Savoy is intregral to the growth of Mystery Method of the last few years, so I can’t really understand Mystery’s logic behind splitting with him.  He’s done a bang-up job, especially when working with such a prickly personality as Mystery (I love the guy to death, but try working with him sometime.  It can be a real test in patience!).

I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Mehow, but I have met his fast-talking manager Rob once or twice before.  I got the impression that he’s trying to be “Nick Cho Reborn,” in the sense that he wants to represent all the major Seduction Gurus in the field and bring them under one banner.

However, that certainly didn’t work out for Nick “Papa” Cho, and it probably won’t work out for Rob either.  Back when Papa represented Mystery, he tried to fold Mystery into the “Real Social Dynamics” banner and put him on a level playing field with people like Tyler Durden and other RSD Instructors.

That, of course, didn’t fly with Mystery.

Mystery likes being in the spotlight, and it’s in his blood that he must be the star of the show.  Like the movie Highlander, when it comes to Mystery and guru-dom,  There Can Be Only One.  Once Mystery saw Papa intended for him and Tyler to share the spotlight, he bolted (and rightly so).  I imagine the same thing is going to happen once he gets into this Mehow business, since Mehow is being touted as the “next Tyler Durden.”  (C’mon, do we really need another Tyler Durden?)

Not to mention the fact that should Mystery split with Savoy, there’s probably a number of legal hassles to deal with.  Mystery Method Inc. is a seperate entity from Mystery himself, so if the split actually occurs, Mystery Method Inc. could conceivably continue on WITHOUT Mystery, which means all his products and workshops and the like would continue to be sold without the man himself being involved.

Can Mystery Method survive without Mystery?  Can Mystery become as successful with Mehow in his corner, or will he self-destruct?  And what exactly does this power play by Mehow and Rob mean to the community at large?

Well, personally, my spider sense is telling me this could be a big ol’ mess.

Personally, I’ve heard Mehow isn’t impressive (I’ve heard on the grapevine there’s no evidence of him “being” with attractive women often). I don’t know if that holds weight, but we’ll need to see some evidence if he actually has game. His video’s aren’t impressive. (Although there is only so MUCH one can do in one sitting)

As for Mystery, I’ve heard from former business managers/friends that he goes through business managers like women. He probably needs to get that situation fixed with some inner workings.

The nature of this game is shifting, and it’ll be interesting to see where it ends up. Under one banner? Doubtful, seeing as there’s different strokes for different folks.

I’m waiting for the next generation of products that are truly mind-blowing. My lean is mostly towards Stephen Nash, Lance Mason, and Dr Paul.

As for me, I filter the shit for my blog, so guys don’t have to deal with the drama, and only get useful information.

I’ve been watching the seduction community for a long time now. Ever since my friend showed me David D! Here’s what I’ve learned talking to these guys online and reading these drama filled sites:

First off Mehow will never match TD. Mehow is a follower whose motivation isn’t skillset but instead having community guys calling him “guru”.

Second, while Mystery is an awesome PUA others are quickly gaining on his skill level. How long has it been since Mystery taught a bootcamp for Mystery Method? He’s been ‘retired’ for a long time now. Mystery Method is where it is today because of guys like Savoy and Sinn keeping the quality in the company up. Savoy created Mystery Method, not Mystery. With Mystery at the helm the company would be sporadic and in chaos. Those would just be the days he decided to show up. What has Mystery been developing lately?
    What
new tested theories? Which 10’s has he fucked? How about Mehow? Mystery’s a legend but he’s not where the current skill rests.

As someone who’s actually seen Mehow in action multiple times and been through his seminar, I can tell you he’s the real deal as a pua. He’s also a heck of a teacher and is great at simplifying things. I’d like to point out that the two previous commentors, by their own admission, have not met Mehow, and are just talking based on gossip they’ve heard. (And who can trust gossip that’s not on Thundercat’s blog!)

I’ve seen him with hotties, and his current girlfriend is pretty darn attractive, in my opinion.

I can’t imagine Mystery working for Mehow either however. The guy needs his own spotlight.

And Thundy, for crying out loud, this is as deep as you can get into the MM thing? There’s a lot more free info available about the whole fiasco. Do a little more research…

To comment on DanTolumbro if I may.

I’ve heard from top sources in the community, that no one can vouch for Mehow, apart from his friends before the community about his “guru” mastery.

That said, I don’t know personally, but his whole aura seems very much like “fake it till you make it”.

I mean PureKino… That’s retarded. Is there are form of kino that’s non-pure?

Good luck to all who embrace it.

    re: E3cho
i agree with you to a point. that point being Mystery trained all of his workers for the express purpose that they could be good enough to teach on their own. thereby freeing him from the responsibility to do it all himself
presumably, they went with it because
    a) they learnt from the best
    b) they got a good paying, fun job.

thats the way to run a business - when Mystery was on his own, he was being swamped by RSD, who had already gone through that drill of training up instructors. Lance at 101, i believe has done the same thing.
the business initiative was probably Savoy’s.

Lovedrop and Matador have also dropped of the face of the planet - perhaps they’ll be joining Mys wherever he goes? Thundercat?

    cheerio,
    Sting
