Confidence Tip – How To Quickly Change Your Emotions
When it comes to feeling confident in social situations – be it at a party full of unfamiliar people, or when dealing with women in general – it can be very easy to lose that self-assured feeling.
As we all know, confidence is really akin to an emotion, and emotions can change rapidly!
For instance, maybe you’re feeling confident enough to approach a woman, but she says something to you that makes you feel a bit rejected, and suddenly…
BOOM!
Your confidence disappears, and is suddenly replaced by anxiety, insecurity, or even sadness.
On the flip side of that, maybe you see a girl you want to meet, but are instantly crippled by feelings of insecurity, and just can’t find the confidence to approach her!
What’s a guy to do?
Well, at the very least, gaining and maintaining confidence is all about something the psychologists like to call “STATE CONTROL.”
You’ve heard of the term “mental state” right? It’s referring to the state of mind you’re in. If you’re thinking positive and know what you’re doing, you’d be considered to be in a “confident state” or a “positive state.”
And the things about these emotional states are: they can be controlled!
We do this all the time. If you can think about a time you were angry, and you calmed yourself down, that’s an example of how you were able to take control of your emotions and control your state.
Also, if you think of a time when you were sad, then became happy again, that’s an example of a “shift in state,” where you shifted your emotional state from a negative one to a positive one.
See, most people allow their emotions to control THEM, but it’s just as possible for you to gain control of your emotions so you feel only what you want to feel.
And if you want to feel CONFIDENT, here is a simple trick you can use to shift you out of any negative state you may be experiencing.
Ready?
It’s really simple…
MUSIC!
(Yep! Music!)
See, music has the power to control people’s emotions. If you think about it, when you hear a depressing song, you get sad. If you hear scary music, you get frightened. If you hear happy music, you cheer up. If you hear exciting music, you get excited!
So if you need a quick boost to your confidence, find a piece of music that puts you in a positive state!
I like to call this a “theme song.”
Your Theme Song is something that will trigger good feelings inside you and help you shift back to feeling confident, no matter what situation you’re in.
To do this, just find a piece of music that makes you feel good. The more excited and pumped-up the music gets you, the better.
Listen to this music before you go out. And while you’re out, if you need it, either listen to it on your phone, or just replay in your mind. Try and focus on the emotions it brings up within you, and keep that level of excitement as long as possible.
When you have the right Theme Song, you’ll be able to recover whenever you lose your confidence, and keep doing what you need to meet the right girl.
